The SASSI were particularly interesting to me–I remember the natural air conditioning effect of staying there–our hotel was built right into the side of a mountain. Thanks for telling the world about Matera!

A totally fascinating and gripping article about a place I had hardly heard of, let alone visited – and one which has now gone straight onto our Bucket List!
And the video! What a delight! And what a brilliant idea to adopt the double-speed method of showing twice as much – and life at twice its normal speed – as would otherwise have been the case. But how did you manage to get all those dinky-cars and toy townspeople to perform bang on cue like that?!
I particularly enjoyed the spectacular transition form day to night, which emphasised the charms of this unique township.
So congratulations on yet another Blog which was simply GREATTTTT – a true Gem:Riveting, Educational, Aesthetic and Totally Tempting to Tourists & Travellers!!
Thank you again for a most interesting, informative and entertaining piece!
John
