Fascinated to read the historical account and the Field of the Cloth of Gold – part of our history wot passed me by, at school!!
And as for your very pertinent comment that if you study history and learn about the past, there are no surprised in modern politics, that thought weas beautifully summed up by G B Shaw who pithily observed that “The only thing you learn from history is that you never learn from history”!
Loved the photos of Sasha too – she must be one of the most widely-travelled dogs around – no wonder she has her own Travel Blog!!
Thank you for the ideal reading material for the train journey which Margaret and I are currently enjoying en route to Glyndebourne
Love
John

This is one that seems typically Janet: a long-range plan, but allowing time for serendipity to take over and go with the flow! THAT is an interesting trip! Such fun being with you and Sasha through your colorful writing–thanks for inviting me along!
