[…] LAST TIME – 59th Edition – In 2022 the Biennale was curated by the fabulous Cecilia Alemani – an Italian curator who lives and works in New York. Alemani is the chief Curator of the High Line Art project in New York. Alemani chose Leonora Carrington, one of my all time favourites, as her inspiration for the 2022 event. She used the words of the surrealist painter as her title for the event ‘The Milk of Dreams’. I admit to a slight obsession with Leonora Carrington, a Lancashire lass, like me, who ran away from home at 19 years of age to live in London and then in Paris. She was a truly original thinker.
