Lovely story about St. Christopher. For some time the church de-sainted him, many of us assumed, then brought him back. I cannot remember the whole enchilada. So I looked it up.

Yes again, Janet, a delight to read, and excellent photographs. As my middle name is Christopher, I was at least aware of the derivation of the name, but hadn’t been aware of the Golden Legend – or many of the other artworks and references in your (as always) learned and fascinating blog, for which many thanks. I look forward to catching up on our return from Mallorca in mid-August!
