It’s the end of an action-packed year. I’m feeling excited for the year ahead. I’m ready to welcome in 2025.

Here are a very small number of 2024 highlights! It’s a brief pictorial record of the last twelve months…..

The Alma College Winter Residency started our year on 3rd January, 2024. We were staying at the wonderful Villa Franceschi on the Brenta, just 20 minutes from Venice. Ten days of workshops and teaching for graduate students from Michigan. All writers; some poets, some creative non-fiction, some memoir writers.

In March we were following Lucy and Jacob running the Rome Marathon. Very impressive.

Then in April it was our Venice in Springtime journey – filled with sunshine, laughter and lots of joy.

In May and June it was the Venice Biennale and then our Artists week in Venice. The sun just kept on shining.

Naples and Sorrento, Herculaneum and Pompeii – all included this year!

Then from September onwards it was the Historic Regatta in Venice, Venice Film Festival and Homo Faber…..

From October it was a gentle wind down to Christmas! Venice, Istanbul preparation and an amazing trip to discover Friuli Venezia Giulia.
